Everything You Need to Know About Running Cables That Will Last for Decades
Is the fiber shielded enough to survive fishing it through walls and around corners and such?
I should say I did not do any terminations myself because I don’t have the tools or know enough about what I’m doing. These cables are less dangerous to terminate than the entirely glass ones, but you still have to be careful.
I still have my cat5 termination kit! my neighbor runs fiber for corp facilities, next cul-de-sac chat I will investigate how this is done
It depends! We ran Cleerline fiber, which is not entirely glass, so it’s safer to cut and doesn’t break as easily. https://cleerline.com/bulk-cable/ssf-fiber-optic-cable/
But to be honest, I’ve only tested a few of the terminations so far and a lot of it isn’t terminated at all since we don’t need it for anything yet.
